RECOVERY SUMMER - THE SUMMER OF OUR DISCONTENT

I need not elaborate about the current state of this economy. It speaks for itself. The people who are suffering under it themselves are the witnesses to the stark reality they face versus what the media and this White House has attempted for months to misleadingly portray as a “recovery” while telling US all that the country is headed “in the right direction.” Well, to Mr. Obama and those who think like him things could never be better, vacations throughout the year, the best dining, expensive parties at the White House, expensive clothing, the best catering, the best places, the best of everything, while the rest of America lives in an economic blight which is getting progressively worst with each day and with each doctored economic report. Things are a lot worse than they are presented by this government. The figures are being doctored to create an image more politically favorable to this president and his party who face a midyear election just a month and a half away.
No matter how they try to spin it, the shuttered businesses, the abandoned real estate lots, the empty office spaces, the empty lots across sprawling empty malls, the depressed sales figures, the rising unemployment rate, the increasing number of those who have exhausted all of their unemployment benefits and have not been able to find work, and the continued flight of jobs overseas to places more amenable to business than the current climate in Washington, real estate in a state of flat line, and the increasing number of foreclosed homes, and bankruptcies.. All of these things realities combined throughout the country in numbers never before seen since the Great Depression auger a different picture than the pained efforts given by the news media to this administration’s policies on the economy, which are literally non-existent, except to say when it wishes to increase payroll, property, and income taxes across the board to every American while claiming to do the opposite, and actually claiming to be doing it to the top ten per cent of Americans. They lie.
The hallmark of this administration will fast becoming to those who can see beyond the rhetoric, promise one thing do another. But even when the promises made seem half-way reasonable, which more often than not they don’t, the meaning of what may appear reasonable when put into practice becomes an albatross of a millstone hung around small businesses, ordinary tax payers, and the retired and disabled who’ve paid into the system all their lives and are now finding that this administration has cut their benefits by over five hundred billion dollars in order to fund Obama’s pet project – ObamaCare and the burgeoning federal deficit that in a year and half under this administration, has grown to three times that of the one President Bush proposed to congress the year he left office, and greater than entire federal deficit under all previous presidents in the last two hundred plus years of this nation’s history. Something’s got to give, and it must be now, because the change this administration has brought is not the one the people voted for back in 2008.
And they certainly did not vote for the partisanship, racial division, and polarization Obama seems to thrive on and promote while claiming to do the opposite. Something is fundamentally wrong here, and it has to do with dialectics. The revolutionary will make claims and promises he does not intend to keep. Change to him is not substantive change in corruption, or cronyism, or union graft and payoffs; it is the opposite. The claim is made, as Obama made during his campaign two and a half years ago, and as he’s made ever since, that he has worked to do away with the corrupt and partisan politics of Washington, while doing just the opposite. The Democratic Party has never been more corrupt, and this administration has its nose deeper than any before it in the large unions and their interests. One thinks of the AFL-CIO, the SCIU, the NEA, the Teamsters, the National Federation of Teachers, and dozens of other big money, big labor organizations wedded to the DNC and to the political machineries of almost every big city government in this country. The scope of this corruption is so vast, so great, is defies the imagination.
Who’s reporting on it? Barely a soul. Why? Because the organs of the news media are allies of almost all of the politicians these organizations endorse and give tens, and in some cases, have contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to since the days of Franklyn Delano Roosevelt. The more things change, or some claim have changed, the more they’ve stayed the same, except unforeseen by many, the changes wrought by the Democrats under Obama these last two years have devastated an already fragile economy, and now they’re trying to tell the their individual constituencies that regardless of who they’re hurting at the present time, every policy measure enacted into law by them has been something for which they deserve reelection for. Can you believe it?
And they’re doing this on a state by state level, attempting to put on the best face possible, and divorce themselves from the national agenda this administration under this president sought their help and vote for, and got passed by them. The Native American Indians called this “talking with a forked tongue, “ I call it, talking out of both sides of their mouths.
These duplicitous morons deserve the contempt of the average American, and not one of them should be reelected to office. What’s more, the political machinery in every city should be dismantled and replaced, because all it has done is enrich the local, state, and national politician who when having been elected to high office, has in almost every instance, shown his or her appreciation by passing more and more draconian pieces of legislation, while impoverishing the very people who voted them into office, and with each piece of legislation passed, the very liberties and freedoms for which so many shed their blood and honor for; erodes bit by bit, and the nation’s sovereignty is sold to the powerful organizations and the people behind them who promoted such legislation through these politicians.
November comes, but woe to the people who bring back the likes of what we’ve seen the last four years. Woe to them.
