Regarding those who have been involved in a more than a year long witch hunt against the author the New York Times bestseller, The Harbinger, Pastor and Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, there is a biblical analogy that comes to mind. and it is the one where King Saul’s mental state of being began to deteriorate and his behavior became erratic and murderous towards David, because “an evil spirit from the Lord” vexed him sorely, and he tried to kill David on several occasions. (1Samuel 16:14, 16, 19:9)
He turned on David, and David not once did a single thing to harm one hair of the mad man’s head. I recall this and it came to mind the conduct and public statements made by T.A. McMahon, and Brannon Howse, and David James - not as not as Spirit-filled Christians living in God’s grace, but self-righteous religious bigots and self-appointed gossips of the church.
For the better part of over a year, these men have launched an all out blitz against The Harbinger and its author, Jonathan Cahn, in their attempt to discredit and diminish him. Ironically, the greater the effort they put into this, the greater Jonathan Cahn as a servant of Christ has become - he has not responded to them or said anything in public against them, nor mention them at all - while they have become increasingly diminished by their self-styled vitriol.
These men are exhibiting all of the characteristics of a cult, even a Christian cult, I have personally known them, as I was involved in one of them when I got saved in the 70s.
Cults, even "Christian cults like The Way International and others," exhibit a belief that they alone are the arbiters of truth; they alone are the repositories of biblical knowledge and correct biblical interpretation/application of the true doctrine of God; they alone are above reproach in all things; they alone are the guardians of the faith; they alone are infallible in their dealings – and one can go on and on, but these gentlemen and the satellite peripherals on the Internet who follow them, are now currently today’s version of the cults, because they have turned against the body of Christ, against Mainline Evangelicals, against true Christian servants of God, and they have been trying to make Jonathan Cahn and The Harbinger the “poster child example” to made of in order to strike fear in the hearts of all of those who would dare to oppose them.
They have gone so far out of the plantation, have strayed so far from the proper practice of Christian grace and sobriety that they have now become the very horror of apostates they have branded so many other of being. They have become their own worst enemies, and not just the enemies of the faith and those who serve Christ in it.
Let the light and truth of God and the Holy Spirit in Christ shine the truth about these men and make it self-evident to those who have eyes to see that these are cranks, and crooked and evil men who stop at nothing to destroy their brother in faith so they can make their living at their expense.
This is not Christianity, this is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this is not what they, or anyone of us, were called by the God of Israel and His Messiah to do with ourselves and spend our days involved in.
This is nothing but the same type of religious opposition men have displayed since Cain slew Abel, from prehistory to this very day, in pogroms, Crusades, Inquisitions, and Jihads. Only this one is in the area of ideas, as these men seek to engrandize themselves at the cost of stepping over the corpses of their Christian brethren. Let them be exposed, and let all who see, flee from them.
