In case anyone out there was wondering why I was away from my post for so long, I have been working on a book I am writing, and had to devote much of my time on this project. I am still at work on this book, and will, as time allows and as the Lord wills, be posting new, but short briefs on this site.
The first responders of the Boston bombing are to be commended as always. Our nation is blessed to have so many heroes among its people, and this is why regardless of the naysayers among US who side more with America's enemies than they do with their own, America has been since its founding the shining city on a hill.
What typifies the best of America is its heroes, and they are many. One need not look to far from where they live to see them. They are all over our great land. They are among our neighbors and serve as our police officers, our firemen, our emergency personnel, our EMTs, our doctors, our nurses, our volunteers who in the day of trouble selflessly give of themselves to help their neighbor.
They serve in every branch of our armed forces, and spend long periods in far away lands to help those who cannot help themselves. They are the finest men and women that our nation has produced, their service speaks for them, and their names will live forever in our hearts.
This is what America is all about, this is what typifies our land, and I take this brief moment to thank the Lord G-d for them, every one, and pray for their redemption in His name, the name above all others. I aks that they be numbered among His elect, and that He call each and every one to His redemption on the day of His redemption; the day of their salvation in Messiah's name I pray.
Once again, in our darkest hour, G-d has gifted us with such men and women, and we are most thankful to have so many in our midst. They are the extension of His provision at an hour when our nation needs it most.
Our heroes are not in the halls of congress or in our political parties, though even in those places there are a scant few that can be called out and numbered among our finest citizens; no, our heroes are those who serve above and beyond their abilities to bring security to our neighborhoods, and to protect our land from encroaching danger in a fallen and increasingly hazardous world.
I wished to take this moment to write about them, for in America's darkest hour, they always shine brightest.
