There is not much that I will posit here, but to say one thing about the deliberations between this White House, the House and Senate Republican leadership, and the Senate and House Democratic leadership; all of the plans put forward which are opposed by principled conservatives in the House and in the Senate; every single one, has been nothing but part of an elaborate shell game designed to help Obama win reelection by claiming because of standing firm, he got US our entitlements and kept the evil Republicans from cutting away our benefits.
How will he make this claim? Because every single plan put forward thus far have given Obama what he wants most; money, money to spend without having to worry about the “debt ceiling” and “default.” He’ll be able to claim that the intransigent TEA Party and the Republicans were the ones to blame for this and not take responsibility for his lack of leadership and lack of planning any proposal that would have averted the issue.
The media will play his mantra over and over again ad nausea, and the DNC will pull out of the stops to make it stick with the public. Of course, the Republican leadership will be there to “eat their own” by placing the blame on the conservatives within its ranks in the house and in the senate and will work hard to replacing them with “mainstream conservatives” who will claim the mantel of Ronald Reagan, just as the Democrats and the liberal media have done just this week.
What we are seeing an orchestrated effort by both party leaders – the elite liberal establishment types and their “conservative” counterparts in the media – throw the blame squarely on conservatives in general and the T.E.A. Party representatives in particular “for getting us into this mess,” when in fact the T.E.A. Party conservatives were elected precisely by the people to keep the feet of others in Washington to the fire, which they have done admirably until now.
Already we have the pseudo conservative elite types come out calling, as they have always been counted to do, for compromise, for the GOP to work with the very people who spent this nation in two years into oblivion.
Barack Hussein Obama is the problem, and all he has proven he can do in almost three years is make things worse. The Republican RINO leadership and their RINO allies in the media have been savaging the principled conservatives who have been doing exactly what they were elected to do, what they pledged their honor to do, and their sacred trust to safeguard. And for this their own party RINOs have been attacking them, seeking every way possible to nullify their vote in the House and in the Senate, yes the Republican leadership at the behest of John Boehner at the suggestion of Charles Krauthammer, have suggested to these conservatives to nullify their votes in the House by simply voting “PRESENT” – a tactic which Barack Obama used in the Senate on several occasions on key pieces of legislation.
Any plan that will allow Obama to spend a penny more – that gives him a blank check, as the McConnell plan would have (the Senate abdicating its Constitutional role to the Executive) – will be in the end used by Obama reelection team and the reelection of every Democrat running for reelection in 2012 to claim that because they held strong, “they got the people the money that allowed the government to continue running, not default, and averted a crisis.” This, dear readers, is a lie.
The magic date of August 2nd will come, and the best thing congress can do is do nothing. The government will not go into default, but what will happen is it will force the government to run the way it should’ve run all along. The US government receives over two hundred billion dollars in revenue every month. The moneys needed for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the military, will be paid to everyone who gets it and on time without causing the government to stop running.
The only difference will be that the more than four million federal workers Barack Obama hired the past two and a half years will go on furlough, and only the most essential elements of our government in Washington will run. In effect, this will force the politicians to run government within its means for the first time.
Of course, they don’t want it to come to this, because this will mean that they will not be able to continue spending in deficit amounts of trillions more. That means that the local politician like the RINOs and the Democrats and Obama will not be able to use your money and mine to fund their favorite slush funds with our money anymore. They hate that, and they are pulling out all of the stops from making it happen.
This is what all of this crisis is about. Remember TARP? Remember STIMULUS 1? Remember Cash for Clunkers? The Nationalization of General Motors? The huge payouts to the unions? The bailout of Wall Street bankers? And where all of this has brought US? They’re trying to do it again, the same people, the same tactics with the same key players. Remember Barack Obama and John McCain were on the same side then, and they’re on the same side now. The same tactics for the same kind of betrayal. Only one big difference now that America did not have then; there were no TEA Party conservatives to keep the RINOs, the Democrats and the president back, now there are.
The outcome of this debacle is going to determine if Obama is a one term aberration in the history of American politics and his party goes the way of the Whigs, or whether America has reached its end as a free Constitutional Representative Republic.

MITCH MCCONNELL COMES TO OBAMA'S RESCUE, BUT WAIT.......
INTRODUCING, MARCO RUBIO, A NEW LEADER FOR A NEW GENERATION
Marco Rubio, the young Republican Senator from Florida is a national treasure. He has been compared the Ronald Reagan, has been asked time and again if he would consider running for president, not just by conservatives, but by liberals as well, and he is moving very fast up the ranks of the Republican Party as this report is being written. GQ Magazine now considers him the third most powerful man in Washington. He is a T.E.A. (Tax Enough Already) Party favorite, and seen as a rising presidential star for the race in four, possibly, eight years.

The Left fear him and with good reason. He is the epitome of the American Dream and a real contender to become president some day. He is the son of Cuban Refugees who fled Castro’s tyranny. He’s young, handsome, an articulate conservative, a dynamic speaker, and an effective leader with a growing following across the nation. He’s even a part-time teacher at Florida International University, where he’s currently teaching politics to America’s future leaders.
He is unabashedly patriotic, and non-apologetic about America’s exceptionalism and leadership role in the world, and at a time when America is working under this administration to undermine Israel’s legitimacy, Senator Rubio is one of Israel’s most staunch supporters in the US Senate. He has defended time and again the right and legitimacy of Israel to exist as a uniquely Jewish State, and of America’s commitment to supporting it against its enemies.
This is most assuring at a time when this administration is working in front and behind the scenes to undermine this nation’s unique relationship with its most reliable and trusted ally in the Middle East as it is doing throughout that troubled region, and as it has already has done in Egypt. Americans have built the single greatest nation in all of human history. But America's exceptionalism was not preordained. Every generation has had to confront and solve serious challenges and, because they did, each has left the next better off. Until now.
Our generation's greatest challenge is an economy that isn't growing, alongside a national debt that is. If we fail to confront this, our children will be the first Americans ever to inherit a country worse off than the one their parents were given.
Current federal policies make it harder for job creators to start and grow businesses. Taxes on individuals are complicated and set to rise in less than two years. Corporate taxes will soon be the highest in the industrialized world. Federal agencies torment job creators with an endless string of rules and regulations.
On top of all this, we have an unsustainable national debt. Leaders of both parties have grown our government for decades by spending money we didn't have. To pay for it, they borrowed $4 billion a day, leaving us with today's $14 trillion debt. Half of that debt is held by foreign investors, mostly China. And there is no plan to stop. In fact, President Obama's latest budget request spends more than $46 trillion over the next decade. Under this plan, public debt will equal 87% of our economy in less than 10 years. This will scare away job creators and lead to higher taxes, higher interest rates and greater inflation.
Betting on America used to be a sure thing, but job creators see the warning signs that our leaders ignore. Even the world's largest bond fund, PIMCO, recently dumped its holdings of U.S. debt.
We're therefore at a defining moment in American history. In a few weeks, we will once again reach our legal limit for borrowing, the so-called debt ceiling. The president and others want to raise this limit. They say it is the mature, responsible thing to do.
In fact, it's nothing more than putting off the tough decisions until after the next election. We cannot afford to continue waiting. This may be our last chance to force Washington to tackle the central economic issue of our time.
"Raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure." So said then-Sen. Obama in 2006, when he voted against raising the debt ceiling by less than $800 billion to a new limit of $8.965 trillion. As America's debt now approaches its current $14.29 trillion limit, we are witnessing leadership failure of epic proportions.
I will vote to defeat an increase in the debt limit unless it is the last one we ever authorize and is accompanied by a plan for fundamental tax reform, an overhaul of our regulatory structure, a cut to discretionary spending, a balanced-budget amendment, and reforms to save Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
There is still time to accomplish all this. Rep. Dave Camp has already introduced proposals to lower and simplify our tax rates, close loopholes, and make permanent low rates on capital gains and dividends. Even Mr. Obama has endorsed the idea of lowering our corporate tax rate. Sen. Rand Paul, meanwhile, has a bill that would require an up-or-down vote on "major" regulations, those that cost the economy $100 million or more. And the House has already passed a spending plan this year that lowered discretionary spending by $862 billion over 10 years.
Such reductions are important, but nondefense discretionary spending is a mere 19% of the budget. Focusing on this alone would lead to draconian cuts to essential and legitimate programs. To get our debt under control, we must reform and save our entitlement programs.
No changes should be made to Medicare and Social Security for people who are currently in the system, like my mother. But people decades away from retirement, like me, must accept that reforms are necessary if we want Social Security and Medicare to exist at all by the time we are eligible for them.
Finally, instead of simply raising the debt limit, we should reassure job creators by setting a firm statutory cap on our public debt-to-GDP ratio. A comprehensive plan would wind down our debt to sustainable levels of approximately 60% within a decade and no more than half of the economy shortly thereafter. If Congress fails to meet these debt targets, automatic across-the-board spending reductions should be triggered to close the gap. These public debt caps could go in tandem with a Constitutional balanced budget amendment.
Some say we will go into default if we don't increase the debt limit. But if we simply raise it once again, without a real plan to bring spending under control and get our economy growing, America faces the very real danger of a catastrophic economic crisis.
I know that by writing this, I am inviting political attack. When I proposed reforms to Social Security during my campaign, my opponent spent millions on attack ads designed to frighten seniors. But demagoguery is the last refuge of the spineless politician willing to do anything to win the next election.
Whether they admit it or not, everyone in Washington knows how to solve these problems. What is missing is the political will to do it. I ran for the U.S. Senate because I want my children to inherit what I inherited: the greatest nation in human history. It's not too late. The 21st century can also be the American Century. Our people are ready. Now it's time for their leaders to join them.

The only reason that a sitting Senate Minority Leader of a supposed “opposition party” would do such a thing is that the person in question is doing the only politically possible thing to do that will allow the president to claim his victory, and help him win reelection, while making the Republican T.E.A. Party conservatives appear as the holdouts who held the country hostage with the debt ceiling. Obama can then make the astounding claim, and watch for him to do this, as he is already posturing in this manner; that he’s the only reasonable person in these negotiations, that he’s looking out for the country’s best interest, and that the Republicans are intransigent and unreliable.
All of this is what the Republican Leadership of both houses are giving to Obama. In return, they are seeking to marginalize the T.E.A. Party Senators and Congressmen among them, and to bring into line any stray conservatives who might attempt to force a change in the house and senate leadership and the leadership of the party. If passed, the McConnell Plan will secure Obama a second term as president and bring the Republican Party down to defeat for a generation to come. It will destroy what little credibility the Republican Leadership has with the American people, as they will be seen as compromisers with the Left Wing Democrats, and will feel that they have been sold out to the special interests of Barack Obama’s base. Is it any wonder then that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. Nevada) and other Democrats, support the McConnell Plan?
The McConnell Plan by itself is inexplicable. Why would Mitch McConnell, leader of the Republicans in the Senate, propose a plan that falls so short of what the American people want, and cede to the Executive Branch (President Obama) both the powers to spend that according to the Constitution, only congress possesses, and raise the debt ceiling another $2trillion, while also increasing taxes on the American electorate during the longest lasting and deepest Recession in this nation’s history, which some have already begun to identify as a Depression?
MITCH MCCONNELL & JOHN BOEHNER COME TO OBAMA’S RESCUE WITH A PLAN TO HELP HIM GET REELECTED IN 2012
The only reason that a sitting Senate Minority Leader of a supposed “opposition party” would do such a thing is that the person in question is doing the only politically possible thing to do that will allow the president to claim his victory, and help him win reelection, while making the Republican T.E.A. Party conservatives appear as the holdouts who held the country hostage with the debt ceiling. Obama can then make the astounding claim, and watch for him to do this, as he is already posturing in this manner; that he’s the only reasonable person in these negotiations, that he’s looking out for the country’s best interest, and that the Republicans are intransigent and unreliable.
All of this is what the Republican Leadership of both houses are giving to Obama. In return, they are seeking to marginalize the T.E.A. Party Senators and Congressmen among them, and to bring into line any stray conservatives who might attempt to force a change in the house and senate leadership and the leadership of the party. It is not the T.E. A. Party conservatives who are betraying the American people, it is the RINO’s like John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham (R. South Carolina), John Boehner, and many other so-called “moderate” and liberal Republicans.
Everyone knows by now that Barack Obama is the real obstacle to real progress with regards controlling the deficit, reducing the size, spending, and regulatory reach of government, and just about every other major policy issue the nation faces in this economic crsis. The problem is that the RINOs who control the reigns of power within the Republican Party, are working hard to marginalize conservatives within the party in order to keep the status quo with the Democratic Party. They are the biggest opponents of real change and real reform apart from the Democratic Party.
RINOS & THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM & THE STATUS QUO HAVE GOTTEN THIS COUNTRY INTO THIS MESS
The Two Party System has given US a history of corruption and deficit government spending. RINOs like Richard Nixon, saddled the nation with Wage and Price Controls, took our money off of the Gold Standard, allowing he monetization of our currency to be put into the hands of a small elite within the Federal Reserve System, gave US the EPA, OSHA, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Education, and some of the most onerous federal regulations and abuse of power in our nation’s history.
Those like Boehner, McConnell, McCain, Lindsay Graham, who wish to keep the status quo desire to preserve the old political structure within Washington while they, like their counterparts on the other side of the isle, like Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid; give platitudes about the need for change and reform in the nation’s capital. What they really want to mask additional pork barrel spending under the guise of these pieces of legislation so they may preserve the flow of money coming in and assure themselves reelection.

A MESSAGE TO HISPANICS WHO TAKE OFFENSE AT OUR FLAG
I was born and raised in the United States, I being the son of Cuban refugees who fled Castro’s tyranny to come to this country and enjoy the blessings of liberty.
I went to the public school and there learned about the unique history of these United States, and learned to appreciate and love the great Judeo-Christian heritage that helped build this nation into the greatest nation in the history of the human race, though the public school system did everything possible to play down that aspect of our history, but at the time, they were still teaching it, it had not been expunged completely from our history books.
I pledged allegiance every morning to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under G-d, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all.
I also had the honor of singing the Star Spangled Banner at the beginning of class every day, and I’ve been told that they no longer do this in our public schools, and it shocks me to no end.
And like many other sons and daughters of immigrants and refugees from foreign lands, the older I got, the more I learned about our great nation, and the more I appreciated its uniqueness, its exclusivity among the nations of the earth, and how blessed our nation has been under G-d.
So when I came across a poll where it is actually asked of US whether or not we consider the flag of these United States to be removed from our public school rooms, because we might offend some Hispanic children, I was shocked with disbelief.
My parents came to this country from Cuba. Never in my memory have I ever come across anyone from among the sons and daughters of immigrants and refugees who attended our public schools with me, who would have ever been offended in any way by our flag.
Indeed, as I remember, almost every student in those class rooms stood up and placed their hand over their hearts and saluted that beautiful flag when it was time to pledge our allegiance to it and to the republic for which it stands, and it was with great pride that we sang the Star Spangled Banner, humbly remembering that we were part of a great throng of people who united comprised the greatest nation on G-d’s good earth.
I never saw, even among the later arrivals from Cuba and other nations during my eighth grade class, any sign of disrespect or offense taken by our unique American traditions which we venerate to honor the memory of those who came before US, and the Judeo-Christian traditions which built this great nation and subdued this great land from sea to shining sea.
Indeed, as I recall, these later arrivals were thankful for being here, and saw themselves as guests who had the honor of having been admitted to a great and unique nation.
They never ceased to appreciate what America had done in allowing them to come to this land, and were anxious to learn about it, and its traditions, and customs, eagerly wishing to fit in as quickly as they could. I know, I spoke with these people, and as I recall my parents and many others were part of them.
It’s funny, I never considered myself different from other Americans, probably because I was born and raised here, but it wasn’t until I visited some cousins in Venezuela that I truly became conscious of what it meant to be an American.
Up until that time, I had accepted my identity in American society, perhaps taking it for granted. My visit to another country changed all of that. Especially when I was tagged by the Venezuelans “El Gringo,” and began to see just how privileged we are in this country, and how much more we had. From that time forward, I began to have a renewed American conscience, and my American identity awoke and gained new life.
There are a great many Spanish speaking American Citizens who love this great land and nation of ours, and who like many other immigrant groups who have made it to these shores before them, are proud to be a part of this great nation, and to contribute to its growth and development.
This really came home to me the time my wife and love of my life became a Naturalized American Citizen in Newark ,New Jersey about six or seven years ago.
After she took the oath and pledge, and was naturalized, she said something to me that humbled me and made me truly value having been born in this country.
She said to me, “You know, you were born in the United States, you had no choice where you were born. You didn’t have a choice like I did to become an American Citizen.
It was my choice to become an American Citizen. I wasn’t born here.” When she said this, I was humbled beyond words, and since then, she’s explained it even further.
When one becomes an American Citizen, they cease being the citizen of that other nation they originated from, and take on a new American identity, and pledge their allegiance to the American Flag, and swear to abide by the laws of this nation and the supreme law of the land; the Constitution of the United States of America.
So I am shocked to no end, and am dismayed, and filled with great horror and disgust that I hear that a large number of some of our Hispanic Communities throughout our great nation find our Stars and Stripes offensive in our land.
Why? Why would any immigrant group find the symbol of American exceptionalism something that they both despise and are offended by? The question then must be asked is whether such people are a part of our nation, or a nation within our nation.
And if they are a nation within our nation, for what purpose are they here? Why have they left their land only to come here and take offense at the symbols of this nation, and demand from US to remove those symbols on their behalf?
Would a guest to a dinner make demands to their hosts in a house that is not their own? Of course not. And if anyone take offense for being considered a foreigner in our land, it must be remembered that it is they who are offended at the symbols of our nationality, and it is they who consider those symbols alien to their sensibilities. Why are we putting up with this?
Were I to visit a foreign land, as a guest in that land, I would show the proper respect to the symbols of that land, and would do my upmost to be a good guest in that land, and not offend my hosts in that land in any way.
This is only proper etiquette. It is a sign of a proper upbringing. And it is perhaps the evident sign of civility and civilization. So, a message to those among our people who take offense at the symbols, beliefs, and traditions of our great republic; if you don’t like it here, return from the lands from which you came and come here no more.
It is very simple. You take offense at our flag, at our Pledge of Allegiance, at our national hymn, at our Constitutional representative Republic, at our liberties, and the blessings of our G-d, then return to the lands from which you came, come out from among US, and come to this land no more.
We are offended by you, and you are an affront to every immigrant and refugee who’ve come to these shores seeking freedom, who have become part of the great American experiment, and have since become a part of its history. Yankee go home? No we are home. It is time for you to leave. You’ve overstayed your welcome.

ARE YOU BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE FOUR YEARS AGO?
I don't know who composed the tale which follows, but it is a true classic if ever there was written one. There are some predictions that I can posit before I share it with you, and these the predictions I make:
It will come to pass that when people read this, they will understand what befell their great nation, and they will mourn for what they did, and how they demanded of G-d a king, and the change they wanted came upon them, and they were sorely beaten by the change, for their businesses failed, their banks closed by the hundreds, their real estate market collapsed, their savings and investments became nothing overnight, and the wealth of the nation was given to a select few of the most wealthy and powerful.
And only then, only then did enough of the people understand what befell them and their great nation, but by that time, the One whom they had set their hopes on only thirty-two months before, had robbed them of their livelihoods, invested their heard earned money in overseas ventures that his non-tax paying large corporate friends and supporters benefitted from, and penalized them by imposing on them the most onerous and restrictive regulations and hidden tax increases in the nation’s history. Only then, did the people realize that they had been had. Only then did they understand what had befallen them and their nation. Only then did they realize that hope and change had become hopeless change, that “NO MORE FOUR YEARS OF GEORGE W. BUSH” had morphed into “THREE YEARS OF DESPAIR, DEPRESSION, DISGUST, AND DISHONOR.” Only then did they know.
And now, the nation’s future hangs in the balance, and the people moan, and the people cry, and the people demand justice, but where is justice in the land? The presidency is tyrannical, both houses of congress are corrupt and inept, the courts are politicized extensions of the new leadership in the White House – rubber stamping every one of his decisions as those who are able litigate against them; the leadership of the two parties are allied with one purpose while appearing to be opposed to each other, the freshmen congressmen and senators the people voted for are kept from doing what the people elected them to do – repeal Obamacare, overturn all of the onerous regulations, policies imposed upon the electorate the past two-and a half years, and cut the wasteful spending that has ballooned the federal deficit to fourteen trillion dollars in just three years without cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Yet the people had spoken, and they will people will speak again, and until they are heard, but now enjoy the tale told below, for it is a testimony of runaway government, and when a nation blindly follows a charismatic leader to its ruin because they had fallen for the mantra of “HOPE AND CHANGE” without examining the story behind the one making the promise to the claim that he would “BRING FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” America did not need fundamental change, it needed reform, and its leaders needed to return to sound Constitutional government, not runaway deficit spending beyond their means to pay and the dictatorial expansion of government over and against the limits imposed on it by our Constitution.
And now the “the One” wants US to reelect him so that he may complete his work of “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” as he continues his quest of transforming the once great Republic – the envy of the world – into a third rate regional power enslaved by hyper-socialism, beholden only the whims of a world body and a world court for the rights of its citizens and its treaties, with its industries shattered beyond repair, its infrastructure crumbling, its business sector in depression, its economy in tatters, and its liberties abridged and made null through executive order and the courts. As the people contemplate their fate, and how they arrived at this ignominious moment, let them once again ask themselves the question their parents asked just a generation ago, “Are we better off now than we were four years ago?” And if they are honest with themselves, they will know that the answer to that question is a resounding, “NO!”

It came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land
called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their
will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that
person known as "The One."
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning;
but he hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you."
My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego,
and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. I shall
save you with Hope and Change. Go and proclaim throughout the
land that he who proceeded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation,
and that all he has built must be destroyed. And the people rejoiced,
for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had
promised that it was good; and they believed. And "The One" said,
"We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change
everything about it!" The people said, "Hallelujah! Change is good!"
Then he said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats." The people
said, "Sock it to them, redistribute their wealth, show us the money!"
And the he said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody."
And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to
steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??" And "The One"
ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked
and publicized. One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?"
And she was banished from the Kingdom's press corps."
Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having
no military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with the radical
terrorists?" And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk
with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget
that they ever wanted to kill us all!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!!
We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for
the people!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes." So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Show us the money!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your capital gains when you sell your homes!"
And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed. And he said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for every worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited health care and medicine and transportation to the clinics." And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates." So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with the ACORN and you troubles are over!"
Then he said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs, and guaranteed housing." And the people said, "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business, and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.
Then "The One" said, "I am the "the Chosen One"- The Messiah - and I'm here to save you!
We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!" But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more." And "The One" said, "Wait a minute. That is not fair!!"
And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But yea verily, it was too late.
The people set upon The One and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung.
And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that had consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.

My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego,
and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. I shall
save you with Hope and Change. Go and proclaim throughout the
land that he who proceeded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation,
and that all he has built must be destroyed. And the people rejoiced,
for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had
promised that it was good; and they believed. And "The One" said,
"We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change
everything about it!" The people said, "Hallelujah! Change is good!"
Then he said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats." The people
said, "Sock it to them, redistribute their wealth, show us the money!"
And the he said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody."
And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to
steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??" And "The One"
ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked
and publicized. One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?"
And she was banished from the Kingdom's press corps."
Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having
no military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with the radical
terrorists?" And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk
with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget
that they ever wanted to kill us all!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!!
We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for
the people!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes." So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Show us the money!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your capital gains when you sell your homes!"
And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed. And he said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for every worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited health care and medicine and transportation to the clinics." And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates." So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with the ACORN and you troubles are over!"
Then he said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs, and guaranteed housing." And the people said, "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business, and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.
Then "The One" said, "I am the "the Chosen One"- The Messiah - and I'm here to save you!
We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!" But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more." And "The One" said, "Wait a minute. That is not fair!!"
And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But yea verily, it was too late.
The people set upon The One and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung.
And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that had consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.
You may think this a fairy tale, but it's not. It's happening RIGHT NOW!!
